Our Financial Education Journey
From a small Brisbane startup to Australia's trusted source for practical financial literacy education
Every milestone shaped our approach to making financial concepts accessible for everyday Australians
Founded in a Brisbane Garage
Started with three former bank employees who noticed clients struggling with basic financial terms. We'd spend hours explaining concepts like compound interest or tax deductions. That's when we realized Australia needed better financial education that actually made sense.
1,000 Students Mark
Our "Financial Terms in Plain English" workshop hit a nerve. Word spread through community groups across Queensland. We learned that people didn't want complicated theories — they wanted practical knowledge they could use at their bank appointments or when reading their super statements.
Expanding Across Australia
Financial counselors started recommending our programs. We partnered with community centers in Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney. Our approach stayed the same: break down complex financial jargon into concepts anyone can understand and apply in their daily lives.
Digital Learning Platform Launch
COVID taught us that quality education shouldn't depend on location. We built an online platform that maintains the personal touch of our in-person workshops while reaching Australians in remote areas who previously had limited access to financial education.
Next Chapter: Specialized Programs
This year we're launching targeted courses for specific life stages — from first-time home buyers to pre-retirees. Our research shows that financial needs change dramatically throughout life, so our education should too.
Meet Our Education Team
Real people with real experience in both finance and adult education

Marcus Chen
Former Westpac business banker who got tired of watching clients sign documents they didn't understand. Spent five years developing our "Financial Terms Made Simple" methodology. When he's not teaching, Marcus volunteers with financial counseling services in Western Sydney.

Sarah Mitchell
Twenty years in adult education taught Sarah that the best learning happens when students feel comfortable asking "stupid" questions. She designs our courses to encourage curiosity rather than intimidate. Previously ran financial literacy programs for TAFE Queensland.

Rebecca Torres
Rebecca ensures no student gets left behind. Her background in community services and adult literacy means she spots when someone's struggling before they even ask for help. She's the reason our completion rates are significantly higher than industry average.
